Jennifer Dwyer, NCIDQ
Associate, Director of Design
Jennifer joined the KDG team in 2014 and has since then dived right into the revitalization of Detroit. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts specializing in Interior Design with Honors from Rochester Institute of Technology. Jennifer’s background of high-end residential, commercial branding and K-12 educational projects has allowed her to seamlessly transition into commercial, multi-family residential and hospitality projects at KDG. Jennifer has received her certification from the National Council of Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ).
As the Director of Design, Jennifer’s role includes developing design standards, supervising the design department, creating efficiencies in production and mentoring staff to continue to grow. Jennifer’s responsibility is to lead the project teams to achieve innovative design solutions that provide high-quality and cohesive finished projects to our clients based on their goals and budget. She provides design direction and support of marketing materials, design presentations, project design development to ensure consistency and quality design firm- wide. Jennifer acts as the intermediary between KDG and Intramode by reviewing procurement related documents to ensure final purchased goods meet the design intent and are delivered to maintain schedules.
Jennifer was the Project lead for the Indigo Detroit and Cleveland projects. Each hotel was uniquely designed using the existing building and neighborhood context as inspiration while maintaining brand standards of quality.
Jennifer was the Interior Designer on the Vinton Building, a luxury multi-family project, which she helped design every detail from beginning to end with the larger project team. Jennifer was also one of the key team members on the 28 Grand project. She facilitated the design and construction of the millwork in the units along with the furniture specification in the community spaces of the building.
