Fiber + Strand

Located in the historic Fort Industry Square block in Toledo, Ohio, the tenant build-out for Fiber + Strand is approximately 2,300 square feet of salon space within an existing historic building. KDG served as the architect of record and was responsible for implementing the program and interior design plans into a code-compliant and constructable set of drawings. The program included reception, a mixing station, a hospitality bar for patrons, shampooing stations, styling stations, a toilet room, and a private office. Given the building rehabilitation utilized Federal and State Historic Tax Credits, KDG also coordinated implementing the provided design intent while maintaining compliance with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation. This beautiful salon was a perfect addition in activating the newly restored storefronts along this historic and locally beloved block of buildings.
