Presented with the challenge of incorporating the Google philosophy into an architectural statement, Kraemer Design Group responded with an Ann Arbor, MI based motif complete with references to the Arboretum and the city’s Main Street. Celebrating the active environment of working within the highly creative and supportive environment of Google, KDG designed over 70,000-square-feet spread over four floors, within a former bank headquarters. The overall concept included an open office environment flanking a central spine or “Main Street.” Supportive services along “Main Street” included multiple in-house dining destinations, a massage room, a nursing mother’s room, play areas, and a Tech Stop, providing a on stop in-house repair service.
