The Roxbury Group, in collaboration with Invest Detroit, is in the pre-development phase of The Auburn, a mixed-use project planned for a current vacant and blighted property located at the southeast corner of Cass Avenue and Canfield Street in Detroit. The project scope includes the demolition of the existing vacant structure, and the redevelopment of the site into 58 market-rate rental units with on-site parking and 9,000 square feet of first floor retail. The site is located in the heart of Midtown, one block west of Woodward Avenue and just south of Wayne State University. In addition to being along the M-1 Rail corridor, the site is directly on the planned Midtown Loop, the new greenway and bike path which will link the district to the Dequindre Cut, Eastern Market and the Riverwalk. The Auburn addresses the growing demand for affordable and attractive housing as well as local and independent retail in the growing Midtown neighborhood.
