Originally conceived by Bob Kraemer and Mark Mardirosian while employed at the Albert Kahn Collaborative, the Intermezzo Restaurant was envisioned as a cutting edge, upscale destination for the surrounding Harmonie Park power brokers. Using the bones of the vintage building, the design played up on the rawness of the space, accenting the exposed brick walls, wood ceiling and concrete columns. Accent lighting proved vital to enlivening the structural elements and back bar. Architectural services included dining, bar and kitchen layout, back of house needs, custom back bar, lighting design, mechanical distribution as well graphic design services, including the restaurant logo.
Since its original completion, Kraemer Design Group has provided renovation services as the initial concept outgrew its’ fundamental space requirements.
